Free Kindergarten through Sixth Grade Common Core Math Learning Activities
Two lessons per math standard. Lessons are suitable for print, projection or pads. Lessons
were all developed using the "National Common Core Standards for Math".

Standard K.CC - "Kindergarten Counting and Cardinality". Topics include simple counting to comparing one digit numbers.
Standard K.G - "Kindergarten Geometry". Topics include recognizing simple shapes on paper and in the world around.
Standard K.MD - "Kindergarten Measurement and Data". Topics include comparing sizes and sorting objects.
Standard K.NBT - "Kindergarten Number and Operations in Base 10". Topics include counting shapes including tick marks and matching to a basic addition/subtraction expression.
Standard K.OA - "Kindergarten Operations and Algebraic Thinking". Topics include forming sets and adding and subtracting objects.
First GradeStandard 1.G - "First Grade Geometry". Topics include distinguising attributes, composing 2-D shapes and dividing shapes into portions.
Standard 1.MD - "First Grade Measurement and Data". Topics include exploring length and telling time.
Standard 1.NBT - "First Grade Number and Operations in Base Ten". Topics include basic place value, addition and subtraction.
Standard 1.OA - "First Grade Operations and Algebraic Thinking". Topics include simple word problems and an introduction to equations.
Second GradeStandard 2.G - "Second Grade Geometry". Topics include drawing shapes given attributes and partitioning 2-D shapes.
Standard 2.MD - "Second Grade Measurement and Data". Topics include measuring and comparing length, selecting appropriate scale, estimating length, time, money and simple graphs.
Standard 2.NBT - "Second Grade Number and Operations in Base Ten". Topics include place value, mental addition and subtraction, multiple digit addition.
Standard 2.OA - "Second Grade Operations and Algebraic Thinking". Topics include one and two step word problems, addition of objects in sets, and able to fluently solve simple addition and subtraction.
Third GradeStandard 3.G - "Third Grade Geometry". Topics include categorizing shapes by shared attributes and dividing shapes into fractional parts.
Standard 3.MD - "Third Grade Measurement and Data". Topics include adding and subtracting time, liquid volume and mass, scaled graph, data collection with ruler, area and perimeter.
Standard 3.NBT - "Third Grade Number and Operations in Base Ten". Topics include using place value for rounding, strategies for adding and subtracting within 1000 and simple multiplication.
Standard 3.NF - "Third Grade Number and Operations - Fractions". Topics include understanding a fraction is part of a whole, fractions on a number line and comparing fractions by size.
Standard 3.OA - "Third Grade Operations and Algebraic Thinking". Topics include understanding multiplication and division in arrays, finding an unknown and word problems.
Fourth GradeStandard 4.G - "Fourth Grade Geometry". Topics include classifying 2-D figures and attributes, and drawing lines of symmetry.
Standard 4.MD - "Fourth Grade Measurement and Data". Topics include understanding standard and metric measures, measuring angles, word problems, line plots and time.
Standard 4.NBT - "Fourth Grade Number and Operations in Base Ten". Topics include powers of 10, comparing numbers, writing numbers in various forms and fluently adding and subtracting using the standard algorithm.
Standard 4.NF - "Fourth Grade Number and Operations - Fractions". Topics include comparing fractions, multiplying fractions by whole numbers and converting to decimals.
Standard 4.OA - "Fourth Grade Operations and Algebraic Thinking". Topics include word problems, solving for unknowns, factor pairs and input/output boxes.
